The gold rate in Pakistan further increased by Rs1,000 to Rs277,000 per tola in the local market on Wednesday (Jan 8).
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs858, bringing it to Rs237,483.
Globally, gold prices also rose by $10 on Wednesday, reaching $2,652 per ounce, along with an added premium of $20.
Meanwhile, the price of silver in the local market stayed unchanged at Rs3,350 per tola.
