The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is offering a six-week Summer Internship Program (SIP) from June 24 to August 2, 2024, at its Karachi location.
The program is open to Pakistani and AJK nationals with CNIC, NICOP, or valid Pakistani passports who meet the specified eligibility criteria and follow the application procedure.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least two years of a four-year Bachelor's degree program or be enrolled in a Master's program in disciplines such as Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, Agriculture, Media Sciences/Mass Communication, Information Systems, and Technology.Moreover, candidates should have a minimum of 70% marks (percentage system) or a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 4.00 out of 5.00 (GPA system). These criteria must be met at the time of application. Graduates or students awaiting results do not qualify.
Application Procedure
Applicants must submit their applications online, ensuring all required information is provided. Submissions in person, via mail, or email will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by March 15, 2024, and will need to submit scanned attested copies of their last semester’s official transcript, CNIC/NICOP/valid Pakistani passport, and domicile, along with a passport-size photograph.
Selection and internship details
Selection will be conducted by SBP, and successful candidates will receive confirmation via email, including details on attending the internship. Any attempt to influence the shortlisting process will result in automatic disqualification.It's essential to note that the internship will take place solely at SBP in Karachi. Selected interns are responsible for their travel costs to and from Karachi, and no accommodation will be provided during the internship.
