Mahira Khan to serve as UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador for Pakistan
A globally popular personality, Mahira Khan has been appointed as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Goodwill Ambassador of Pakistan.
According to the details, the UNHCR held a ceremony in Islamabad to honor the country’s goodwill ambassador, Mahira Khan.
The actress while addressing the ceremony said that I feel privileged to have been chosen to serve this noble cause.
According to sources, UNHCR, the refugee agency took to twitter to announce the starlet will serve as the Goodwill Ambassador. They were delighted to make the announcement.

UNHCR on their official account posted a past time video of Mahira Khan in which she can be seen spending time with the refugees wearing UN caps.
The actress re-tweeted, “Grateful and honored” to be a UNCHR goodwill ambassador for Pakistan.”

She went on to write about how proud she is, being born in a country that is taking refugees for more than 40 years with arms wide open.
UNHCR’s Assistant High Commissioner for Operations, George Okoth-Obbo lauded the newly appointed Goodwill Ambassador for devoting her commitment towards refugees.
