Paramount Pictures has released the first official trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, giving fans an energetic first look at the return of the animated franchise ahead of its theatrical release on December 23, 2026.
The film is directed by John Rice and written by Thurop Van Orman, continuing the global animated series based on Rovio’s hit mobile game.
The sequel reunites the original voice cast, including Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver, and Danny McBride as Bomb.
It also expands its lineup with new voices such as Emma Myers, Walker Scobell, Marcello Hernández, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Keke Palmer, Lily James, Sam Richardson, MrBeast, and Salish Matter.
The trailer teases a new storyline in which Red must balance fatherhood while stepping into a high-stakes mission to save the world. The film continues the franchise’s blend of comedy, action, and family-friendly adventure.
The film is produced by John Cohen, Dan Chuba, Carla Connor, and Namit Malhotra, and is presented by Paramount Pictures in association with SEGA and Rovio Entertainment.
The franchise has previously grossed more than $500 million worldwide and continues to maintain a strong presence across streaming platforms.
Composer Heitor Pereira returns to score the film, while animation is once again handled by DNEG Animation.
The Angry Birds Movie 3 will be released exclusively in theaters on December 23, 2026, positioning it as one of the major family releases of the holiday season.
