Countries are looking forward to finding cures for coronavirus. The President of Tanzania says he is willing to import a herbal tonic from Madagascar.

That tonic will be imported when the President of Tanzania will send a plane to Madagascar. The tonic will be used as a cure for coronavirus.

Congo-Brazzaville’s president is also willing to import the herbal tonic.

However, the World Health Organization said there is no evidence that tonic can treat coronavirus. it has advised people not to go for self-medication.

President’s chief of staff Lova Hasinirina Ranoromaro informed the international news agency that the tonic was made as Covid-Organics was being promoted after it was tested on less than 20 people over three weeks.

However, the WHO commented on the launch of Covid-Organics and said that it does not suggest “self-medication with any medicines… as a prevention or cure for Covid-19”.

WHO head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had earlier said that there were “no short-cuts” to find medication for coronavirus. the WHO also said that international trials were in progress to find an effective cure.

Tanzania’s President John Magufuli said, “I am communicating with Madagascar, and they have already written a letter saying they have discovered some medicine. We will despatch a flight to bring the medicine so that Tanzanians can also benefit. So as the government we are working day and night,”
