Eleven new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The total number of coronavirus cases reached 46 whereas 2 people have died and one has recovered.

The international news agency stated that 37 cases have been reported from Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora Baramulla and Shopian districts of Kashmir division, while as 12 cases have been reported from Udhampur, Rajouri, Jammu and Samba districts of Jammu division whereas there are 12 cases in Udhampur, Rajouri, Jammu and Samba districts of Jammu division.

Apart from that, three cases were reported from Jammu whereas 11 new cases were confirmed from Kashmir.
International news stated that two cases, father and son from Bemina locality of Srinagar, had traveled with a woman, also from Srinagar, had tested positive on March 18. She had come from Saudi Arabia. All the people on the same flight are being traced and are sent into quarantine.

“A group of three persons including two from Shopian were in Maharashtra since December and left from there on 8th of Feb and this is when they came in touch with a person from Srinagar who began to show symptoms on 8th of March and was tested positive recently. They were Delhi together for 40 days and reached Srinagar on the 19th of March and they were again together at Bemina till March 25,” District Magistrate of Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin told ET. The administration has informed that the two villages from where 2 positive cases in Shopian reported have been isolated.

Sources also said that a microbiologist from Government Medical Science College had also contracted the virus. The staff and family are also facing quarantine.

The government is enforcing strict restrictions in KASHMIR. General of police in Kashmir warns that anybody caught moving in a vehicle will be placed into quarantine for 14 days and the vehicle would be seized.
