The United States Department of Defense has reportedly procured 1 million surgical masks from China and sent those masks to Israel.

According to the details, the masks will be distributed among Israeli soldiers, despite the fact that the US military had asked its personnel to make their own masks in order to combat  coronavirus pandemic.

Israeli military reporter posted photos of the consignments of the masks and gave credit to US Department of Defense.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier on April 5 American weekly news magazine Newsweek had reported that the United States military had told the soldiers to make their own masks to combat COVID-19.

Pentagon released a document on Sunday titled “Department of Defense Guidance on the Use of Cloth Face Coverings,” which later seen by the American news magazine.

Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump has refused to wear a mask despite the Americans are advised by new medical guidance to do so.

He said that he could not see himself seeing “presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens” in the Oval Office while wearing the mask.

Donald Trump said that the guidance presented on Friday was “voluntary”.

He said, “You do not have to do it,” “I don’t think I’m going to be doing it.”

According to the international news agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the government’s public health advisory agency presented guidelines on guidelines.
