CHAKWAL: The Anti-Corruption Circle Rawalpindi arrested the former Deputy Tehsildar Chakwal Najaf Hameed.
According to the Rawalpindi Anti-Corruption Department, a case was registered against Najaf Hameed by the anti-corruption establishment. The arrest of Najaf Hameed was made after the allegations were proved in the investigation.
According to the Punjab Anti-Corruption Department, Najaf Hameed was arrested after the interim bail was released in the case, former provincial minister Hafiz Ammar Yasir was also named in the case.
The anti-corruption department said that the hearing of the case was held in the court of Special Judge Ali Nawaz Bakhar of Rawalpindi.
It should be remembered that in February 2023, Naib Tehsildar Chakwal Najaf Hameed was suspended on corruption charges and directed to report to the Commissioner's Office.

Later, Anti-Corruption Punjab wrote a letter to Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi regarding Najaf Hameed and requested him to provide the records of the lands owned by him.
