Matric Exams in Sindh Postponed till further notice

Sindh government has extended the school holidays till May 30 amid growing anxiety over the spread of novel coronavirus. Matric exams in Sindh  have also been postponed till further notice.

The decision was made in special cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

All the educational institutions (School, Colleges and Universities) will remain closed till 1st June 2020, while matric exams in sindh have been postponed, Education Minister Saeed Ghani said..

Earlier, Sindh government had announced closure educational institutes and coaching centres across the province till 13th March.

On 13th March Pakistan reported its 21st case of the novel coronavirus when a resident of Gilgit Baltistan was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah also announced that all Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 matches in Karachi will be played without crowd amid the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

“Sindh Govt has decided that the remaining matches of PSL in Karachi will take place without any crowd. This decision has been made after consultation with all stakeholders including the Pakistan Cricket Board,” he tweeted.

Sindh is the most hit province from where 15 coronavirus cases have been reported uptill now. 14 of these cases were reported in Karachi which is the city where the disease has spread the most.
