Pak army starts producing thousands of masks

Pakistan defence production has attained the capability of producing thousands of Masks and hand sanitizers in bulk quantity.

According to the press release issued by the ministry of defence, the ministry has been pleased to inform, that Pakistan Ordnance Factories has obtained a landmark achievement in testing times of pandemic.

Pakistan Ordnance Factories being one of the most vibrant Defence Production Establishments has attained the capability to produce 25,000 Face Masks and 10000 liters Hand Sanitizers on daily basis, which is indeed a landmark achievement and a proud moment for the entire Nation.

Special cloth has been used in the production of Face Masks that make it re-usable after wash.

It was highlighted that in view of the prevalent situation, Defense-related Production capability had been diverted towards the mass production of Face Masks and Hand Sanitizers.

The laudable efforts by Pakistan Ordnance Factories will indeed complement the ongoing National drive to fight COVID-19. Further breakthrough is also expected in the near future.

Earlier this week, DG ISPR Babar Iftikhar said that all the medical resources hold by the military will be used to counter the novel coronavirus. Its a tough time and we have to make more tough decisions on individual, family and society levels.

He also announced that scientists working with Pakistan armed forces will work to find a cure for the disease and meanwhile they will also work for mask and sanitizer production.
