The lockdown due to coronavirus hasn’t put an end to criminal activities in Karachi. In a fresh incident, two people killed in firing near Federal Urdu University, situated in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, area of Karachi on Thursday.

Rescue sources said, the victims were identified as Wazir Ahmed and Muhammad Zafar. The cause behind the incident remains unknown.

The bodies were moved to a nearby hospital, while investigation into the matter was underway.

Earlier four people injured in firing of armed men over personal grudge in the metropolis.

The incident took place near Rehmannia Mosque in old Golimar where armed men opened firing at opponents with whom they were in dispute over a personal grudge.

As a result of firing four people including Nasir 45, Aurangzeb 25, Abdullah 15, and another person whose identity not confirmed injured in the firing who shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The police after registering a case against culprits involved in firing has started raids for them.

On April 15, In Surjani Town, a Jamaat-e-Islami worker shot dead while three others sustained gunshot wounds after unknown men opened fire at them.

A man killed and two others injured in another firing incident reported in Landhi. A man mugged outside his home in Sharifabad as well.
