Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has accused the federal government of spreading coronavirus in the country and criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan for making divergent statements on the lockdown in the country.
Addressing a press conference along with Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani and other senior officials of the provincial government, Nasir Hussain Shah lauded the decision of Sindh government and also described the benefits of a strict lockdown.
He also criticized the response of PTI Sindh leaders to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s press conference.
“When PPP leaders criticize the performance of the federal government, PTI leaders in Sindh mislead the people by saying irrelevant things,” he said.
Nasir Shah said that Bilawal Bhutto had spoken not only in the behalf of Sindh but of all the provinces and had only asked the federal government for help the provinces. What is wrong with that? he asked
He described the federal government’s response to the coronavirus as “non serious” and said “lockdown was being carried out across the country before federation was giving conflicting statements.”
He urged the federal government to co-operate with Sindh, saying “experts from all over the world have come to the conclusion that effective lockdown is the only way to fight the deadly Pandemic.”
