The Sindh government has decided to ban Eid greetings including shaking hands and embracing after the Eid prayer to maintain the social distancing amidst coronavirus pandemic.

Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah while talking to a private TV channel said that people should not hug on Eid to avoid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic adding that large gatherings for Eid should be banned.

He further said that Sindh government will issue SOPs for Eid prayers, there will be Eid prayers and large gatherings under government SOPs, proper lockdown will be maintained throughout the month of May, he added.

The Sindh government is also considering banning large Eid gatherings and advised the citizens not to celebrate Eid at their home towns.
