1st National Heritage and Tourism Workshop in Lahore

LAHORE: The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) is organizing the 1st National Heritage and Tourism Workshop at Barood Khana inside Lahore Fort from 22nd to 24th November 2019 whereas speakers from all provinces of Pakistan will be participating in this experience sharing workshop.

The Walled City of Lahore Authority wish to reach out to government and semi government bodies in Pakistan, who are engaged with the preservation,conservation and promotion of heritage, culture and tourism of Pakistan.The main objectives of this workshop will be to explore the opportunities of highlighting and prioritizing the Heritage, and Tourism in Pakistan , marketing of specific sites & destinations, expanding tourism with specific package tours, learning from each other’s experiences in the field of heritage, culture and tourism, highlighting the lessons learnt during conservation and preservation of different sites / monuments and developing a vision for better management of heritage and tourism in Pakistan.

The Director General WCLA Kamran Lashari said, “The purpose of holding this three days workshop is to gain knowledge by sharing each other’s experiences in the fields of heritage, tourism and culture.”
