Imran Khan directs to provide humanitarian assistance on an emergency

Prime Minister Imran Khan said while taking the notice on recent natural disaster, The severe snowfalls and landslides in AJK have caused misery & deaths.

PM also asked National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the military & all our federal ministers to immediately provide all humanitarian assistance on an emergency footing to the affected people in AJK.

According to the details, PM Khan tweeted on today (January 13) and said, “The severe snowfalls and landslides in AJK have caused misery & deaths. I have asked the NDMA, the military & all our federal ministers to immediately provide all humanitarian assistance on an emergency footing to the affected people in AJK.”

Death Toll Rises to 70 in snowfall, rain related incidents across the country

Earlier, Emergency has been declared in seven districts of Baluchistan after a spell of heavy rain and snowfall across the province.

According to the details, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) declared emergency in Mastung, Qila Abdullah, Kech, Ziarat, Harnai, and Pishin districts.

Chief Minister Baluchistan Jam Kamal Khan visited the PDMA and was briefed on the current weather situation.

While talking to the media, Chief Minister Baluchistan said a high alert had been issued to the commissioners and deputy commissioners.

Earlier, at least six people including three women and three children were killed after roof of the houses collapsed due to heavy snowfall.

The incident occurred in Shahab Zai area of Balochistan province.

The locals and rescue team rushed to the spot and shifted the ill-fated family to a nearby hospital.

On the other hand, incessant rain in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa turned weather cold.

Heavy downpours lashed Bolan, Bhag Nari, Dhadhar, Bala Nari and suburban areas.
