Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived Davos, Switzerland on a three-day official look up to attend the World Economic Forum today (Tuesday).

According to the details, the premiere arrived Davos today to attend World Economic Forum.

On the sidelines, PM Imran Khan will hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders including the US President Donald Trump.

All the arrangements, agenda and schedule of the Prime Minister’s meeting in Davos on the sidelines of the summit have finalized.

PM’s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Zulfi Bukhari and other officials will be accompanied by him.

Sources said the premiere will meet foreign investors to apprise them of untapped investment opportunities in Pakistan.

They said a meeting of the federal cabinet scheduled to take place next week will likely postpone due to the prime minister’s visit.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will return upon completion of his visit on Jan 23.

Last month, the Press Information Department (PID) in a statement had said the PM’s three-day visit along with his delegation estimated to cost the national exchequer $68,000.

On the other hand, the visits of former PMs to Davos, including Nawaz Sharif, cost $762,000, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi $561,000 and Yousuf Raza Gilani $459,000.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan called on Former President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan and Former Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhary and discussed the situation in occupied Kashmir.

According to the details, they also discussed matters pertaining to the preparations being made to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5th of next month.

Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan applauded PM Imran Khan’s efforts for effectively presenting the Kashmir dispute at the international level.

Political and development matters of Azad Kashmir also came under discussion during the meeting.
