Sindh High Court has summoned Chief Secretary, Secretary Municipality, Chairman Planning and Development Board in a case related to stray dog bites.

As per details, Sindh High Court on Wednesday heard the action against stray dogs and dispensation of vaccination case.

The Health Department submitted a report regarding the 12-year-old Hasnain.

The report said that the child reached hospital in critical condition, Hasnain was kept in Chandaka Hospital for a few hours

There has been negligence in the treatment of Hasnain on which the court expressed resentment.

During the hearing, the court asked the Additional Secretary Health why you cannot do anything about it.

The coordinator of the Sindh government told the court The center, set up in  Ibrahim Haidari area of Karachi, taking action against stray dogs in which they tagged after vaccination.

During the hearing, the Indus Hospital assistant told the court that the stray dog population growing rapidly that must be controlled as soon as possible.

So far 30 to 35 thousand dogs have been vaccinated.

During the hearing the court also expressed anger over the municipal authorities.

The court asked “Why helpline is not active till yet?”

Why didn’t helpline’s awareness campaign started on the media?

How will the nation know what to do and where to report in case of any incident of dog bite ?

Court issues show cause notice to Additional Secretary Municipality for not advertising Helpline.

Sindh High Court summoned Chief Secretary, Secretary Municipality, Chairman Planning and Development Board in the next hearing.

The Sindh High Court ordered the KMC and DMCs to continue action against stray dogs.

The court also ordered the submission of a report on the action from the Cantonments Board.

Court adjourned the hearing till 19th of February.
