Fifteen cases of Coronavirus have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while total number of positive cases in Pakistan reached 185.

According to details, the number of positive COVID-19 cases has reached 185 in Pakistan, 150 in Sindh, 10 in Balochistan, Islamabad 4, Gilgit-Baltistan 3, Punjab 1 and 15 cases have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Health Minister KP Taimur Khan Jhagra in one of his tweets confirmed that 15 positive COVID-19 case has been reported in KP.

He wrote “Just received news that 15 of 19 individuals received in KP from Taftan have tested positive for Corona Virus. These are the first positive cases in KP. They are being well looked after in quarantine in an isolated facility in DI Khan. More details soon.”

Sindh Health Department has also confirmed 86 cases in the Province 26 cases from Karachi, 1 case from Hyderabad and 61 cases from Taftan, Iran. Which brings the total number of case to 88 in the province out of which 2 have recovered & 86 are still under treatment.

Diagnostic tests for NOVID-19 being conducted free of cost in Pakistan

Earlier today, State Minister of Health of Pakistan Dr. Zafar Mirza has assured that government is keeping a close eye on the situation in the wake of spread of Coronavirus and is taking appropriate steps.

While addressing a news conference  he said seasonal flue and fever does not require testing for Coronavirus and only those people need to have tests who have recently returned from abroad and are facing symptoms like fever, cough or difficulty in breathing.

Dr. Zafar Mirza said fourteen laboratories in major cities of Pakistan have been provided with diagnostic kits by the government that will hold free tests of people.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is personally monitoring and supervising the situation.

State Minister warned the people to beware of private testing labs that are offering tests for Coronavirus.

He said there is no need to panic as the number of Coronavirus patients is still low in Pakistan.

He also made it clear that there is no need for a normal healthy person, who is neither attending any corona affected patient or suffering from this virus, to use masks.
