Chairman of  Task Force Science and Technology Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman warns that the coronavirus situation is getting worse and the actual number of COVID-19 patients is high and the data coming out is not accurate.

Dr Ata-ur-Rehman told the media that more and more Coronavirus tests should be conducted and we will start clinical trials of Some drugs from next week.

The overall situation of Coronavirus will be estimated in 10 days in Pakistan.

We have to conduct more tests of COVID-19 in order to overcome the pandemic,” he said.

Earlier today, Dr Zafar Mirza Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Health said in a press conference that fewer cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in the past 24 hours as compared the last few days.

Coronavirus: 41 patients recover in Sindh

Dr Zafar Mirza was addressed a media briefing , along with Dr Moeed Yusuf  SAPM on National Security and National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt Gen Mohammad Afzal.

In the press conference, Dr Mirza said that coronavirus has claimed 21 lives in Pakistan so far. Of these deaths five were reported in last24 hours.

“In the upcoming days, there will be a rise in the number of recovered patients,” he said. 99 cases were reported since Sunday. Dr Mirza further said that 7,507 people have been quarantined in different parts of the country.

“In hospitals, out of 783 cases, 773 are improving and expected to get well soon,” said the SAPM. “Only 10 patients are in a critical condition,” he added.
