Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday visited Dera Ghazi Khan to oversee arrangements aimed at controlling COVID-19 in Pakistan.

According to the details, The prime minister was given an in-depth briefing over the measures to check the spread of pandemic and setting up quarantine for isolation and treatment of infection persons.

The sources of APP said, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, Special Assistant to PM on Health Dr Zafar Mirza, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal, Special Assistant Moeed Yusuf and Dr Shahbaz Gill were present.

Imran Khan fears coronavirus to devastate third-world economies

Earlier on yesterday, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan chaired the federal cabinet meeting via video link on today (Tuesday).

The meeting reviewed the situation arising from coronavirus spread in the country as well as the current political, economical situation.

As a preventive measure against the coronavirus, the cabinet members participated in the meeting through the video link.
