Balochistan going for a Smart lockdown amid COVID-19

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan gave the approval to convert coronavirus lockdown to smart lockdown. The meeting approved the conversion of lockdown across the province into smart lockdown, which would allow the market to be open from 3 am to 5 pm.

Balochistan government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani said in a tweet about the smart lockdown that shopkeepers and traders’ organizations across the province would be bound to implement precautionary measures mentioned on SOPs.

Turkey prohibits to visit care homes on Mother’s Day, Eid

They Labor, Social Services and Family of Turkey announced on Friday that visitors will not be allowed in retirement and nursing homes across the country on Mother’s Day on during Eid also. According to the statement, the ministry said that the visitors will not be allowed in nursing homes, disability care centers and rehabilitation centers on Mother’s day and Eid.

Coronavirus-Australia eases lockdown in three stages

Australia has announced to lift lockdown under a three-step plan to reopen the country’s economy by July. According to details, Australia has banned public gatherings and unnecessary travel to avoid the spread of coronavirus in the country.

598 cases have emerged in the province over the past 24 hours says CM Shah

UN expects 110 mn children to be born amidst the pandemic

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has said that 11.6 million babies are expected to be born worldwide during the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic.

In a report released on International Mother’s Day (which is being celebrated on May 10), the World Health Organization said that in the next 40 weeks (or 9 months) 11.6 million babies will be born after the March 11 when the CIVID-19 was declared a global pandemic in various countries.

Mothers and newborns will face problems, due to the lockdown, and also medical centers are already facing a shortage of medical equipment and maternity support staff.

Pakistan sees 100% increase in deaths from COVID-19 in 10 days

In the last 10 days, Pakistan’s death toll has increased by 100 percent between April 28 and May 7, and the number of reported cases in each province has also surged.

According to data compiled by Bol news, since the first case of the coronavirus was reported in the country on February 26, the country sees 46 death in the month of May which highest number of deaths and from March to April fatality toll had reached from single digit to double.

The Country reported 297 deaths due to the pandemic between April 28 and May 7. From April 28 to May 6, as per the official figures 10,365 cases were reported across the country.

Medical experts warn that the virus could reach its peak in May, leading to an increase in reported cases and deaths.
