Amjad Ali, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) housing minister has contracted Coronavirus.

In a video message, Amjad Ali said that he had gone for COVID-19 testing after he developed serious cough and fever. He has been in self-isolation for the past four days.

During lockdown restrictions he had been visiting different isolation centres and hospitals to review the virus situation.

Amjad Ali has appealed the public to pray for his speedy recovery and urged them to follow proper precautionary guidelines directed by the government.

Earlier, Faisal Edhi, head of Edhi Foundation, a well-known social activist, tested negative for coronavirus.

Talking to a private TV channel, Faisal Edhi said that now he has fully recovered, the report of the COVID-19 test came negative.

Faisal Edhi was tested positive for the pandemic on April 21 in Islamabad. The test was conducted on April 27 at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences which also came positive.

Prior to his first coronavirus test he met Prime Minister Imran Khan and donated Rs10 million in PM’s Corona Relief Fund.

After Faisal Edhi was diagnosed with the epidemic, PM Imran Khan’s test was also conducted as he had met the affectee. The premier later tested negative for coronavirus.

The social worker was in isolation and is in constant contact with his doctor. Edhi had traveled to Lahore and then to Islamabad, where he met Prime Minister Imran Khan.
