Pakistan's cement industry has witnessed an impressive 34% surge in exports, signaling positive growth despite challenges in the domestic market.
According to the Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (PCMA), local cement sales in February 2025 reached 3.065 million tons, reflecting a moderate 6.82% rise compared to 2.869 million tons in February 2024.
In contrast, the export sector experienced a substantial increase of 34.30%, with exports climbing to 531,736 tons in February 2025, up from 395,935 tons during the same period last year.
Overall, the cement industry recorded total sales of 3.596 million tons in February 2025, marking a 10.15% growth from 3.265 million tons in February 2024.
