Thomas Fielder, the Second Secretary at the German Embassy in Islamabad, was found dead in his apartment within the Diplomatic Enclave on Monday.
According to a police spokesperson, Fielder's body was discovered after embassy staff reported concerns over his two-day absence from work.
He said upon breaking into his apartment, they found him unresponsive and immediately informed the authorities.
The body of Thomas Fielder was transported to Polyclinic Hospital, where a post-mortem examination was conducted to determine the cause of death.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the diplomat had previously suffered a minor heart attack, which may be linked to his passing. Police stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy report.
“Further investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident,” officials added.
The German Embassy has been notified, and embassy officials are cooperating with the authorities.
