LAHORE: The chief organizer of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz on Monday expressed confidence that Nawaz Sharif would secure a fourth term as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Addressing a large public gathering in Okara to launch the election campaign for the February 8 polls, Maryam stated that regardless of previous oustings, Nawaz Sharif would return to the prime ministership with the support of the masses.
During the rally, attended by a diverse group of people, Maryam Nawaz expressed gratitude to the residents of Okara for their significant turnout.

She remarked that those oppressing Nawaz Sharif and the people were approaching their inevitable downfall. Maryam also commented on the accountability process, claiming that those who were once scrutinizing others were now evading accountability themselves.
She criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder for selling an expensive watch given by the Saudi crown prince, whom he had previously accused of thievery.
Maryam Nawaz further asserted that a 'terrorist' organization should not be granted the electoral symbol of a political party. Mocking the PTI, she suggested that the PML-N could request the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to assign the electoral symbol of a "stick" (used in the May 9 attack on state institutions) or a "watch" to the PTI.
In an appeal to the people of Okara, Maryam urged them to vote for the "Lion" symbol of the PML-N on February 8, emphasizing that more votes for the party would lead to increased prosperity in Pakistan. The event began with the showering of rose petals on Maryam Nawaz upon her arrival at the gathering.
