New guidelines have been issued for girls' colleges, hostels, and co-educational institutions in Punjab by the Punjab Higher Education Department, which has circulated these instructions across the province.
The guidelines state that only female staff should be employed in girls' colleges, co-ed institutions, and girls' hostels. If hiring male staff is necessary, the area must be monitored with CCTV cameras.
The footage should be reviewed by an officer, and recordings should be kept for 30 days to ensure the safety of students and prevent any untoward incidents.
