Security forces killed seven khwarij in two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s in Dera Ismail Khan District.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “On reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in general area Daraban,” the military’s media wing said.
ISPR stated that during the operation, security forces successfully targeted the Khwarij hideout, resulting in the elimination of four militants.
In a separate encounter in the Maddi area, ISPR reported that troops effectively neutralized three Khwarij, ISPR said.
According to ISPR, a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered during the operation.
“Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” ISPR said.
