Rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecasted for Karachi and parts of Sindh on Tuesday night and Wednesday, coinciding with Ashura days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are penetrating central and upper parts of Pakistan. Additionally, a westerly wave is affecting the upper regions of the country.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated locations in Karachi, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, and Sajawal on Tuesday night and Wednesday, with occasional breaks. Hot and humid weather is expected in the rest of the province.
Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 36-38°C on Wednesday and 35-37°C on Thursday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 39-41°C on Wednesday and 38-40°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi and most districts of Sindh over the last 24 hours. However, some areas experienced isolated rains.

Nawabshah remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Maximum temperature in Sukkur and Hyderabad was recorded at 43°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 66 percent.
