Winter rains and snowfall have affected several regions of Pakistan, including Chagai, Gilgit, Chaman, and Killa Abdullah, bringing colder temperatures.

In Chagai, the first winter rainfall impacted areas such as Dalbandin, Yakmach, Posti, Barabcha, Taftan, and Saindak, accompanied by cold winds that intensified the chill.

In Gilgit, snowfall began in the higher areas, while light drizzle affected the city. The meteorological department forecasted heavier snowfall overnight.

Chaman and surrounding areas experienced rainfall, leading to colder conditions, with authorities predicting snowfall on nearby mountains by night, further dropping temperatures.

Qilla Abdullah saw cloudy skies and light rain throughout the day, which made the weather pleasant but also intensified the cold. The meteorological department also forecasted snowfall overnight.

Meanwhile, a few days earlier, as temperatures dropped in Peshawar, residents gathered at the famous Namak Mandi food point to enjoy warm, traditional dishes.

The chilly weather prompted people to step out to savor meals like mutton karahi, seekh kebabs, and creamy malai boti.

“With the cold increasing, many are enjoying piping hot mutton karahi, while others prefer sizzling seekh kebabs,” said a local food vendor.
