Two time T20 World Cup winning captain and Peshawar Zalmi’s Skipper Derren Sammy said that Chairman Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi is his Brother and Pashawar Zalmi is his baby and nothing comes between them.

While replying to rumors circulating on Media that there is some rift between him and Javed Afridi, Sammy said in a Tweet “I can’t believe that the media would think that my bro Javed Afridi and I would ever have an issue. I’m actually laughing at this. Listen guys I love this man as my own brother. Are u guys serious Peshawar Zalmi is my baby and nothing comes between us. Absolutely nothing.”

It is to be noted that Earlier Sammy took to Twitter and wrote “I’ve learnt that you are important until you’ve completed your role. #dealingwithhumans.”

Earlier in February, the Government of Pakistan has decided to grant honorary citizenship of Pakistan to Darren Sammy, Peshawar Zalmi skipper.

President Dr. Arif Alvi will honor Darren Sammy with the nationality of Pakistan on March 23.

Darren Sammy will be awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian award and honorary citizenship in March 2020.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi revealed that his team’s skipper Darren Sammy will soon get the honorary citizenship of Pakistan.

The Saint Lucian cricketer played international matches for West Indies.

He emerged as a celebrity in Pakistan after he started playing Pakistan Super League (PSL).

One of the international players, Sammy, accepted to play in Pakistan when the country came under pressure due to attack on Sri Lankan team.

He is currently in Pakistan to take part in PSL 5.

Javed Afridi revealed that an application for the citizenship of Sammy sent to the table of President Arif Alvi.

He also requested PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani to take up the matter with the president.

“We want honorary citizenship for Darren Sammy and an application in this regard also sent before the President,” said Javed Afridi to Ehsan Mani.

He added that, “I request the PCB chairman to put in a good word for Sammy, so it can be approved.”

This is the first time that an international player going to have the citizenship of Pakistan.

Moreover,  Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by ten runs during Pakistan Super League 2020 at the National Stadium.

According to the details, Karachi Kings had set 202-run target against Peshawar Zalmi.

Chasing the massive target, LS Livingstone remained not out with 54 runs on 29 balls.

Kamran Akmal could only make 43 runs on 26 deliveries.

Jordan and Umaid Asif clinched two wickets each, whereas, Amir and Delport got one wicket each.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi had won the toss and decided to field first in the fifth edition of PSL 2020 in Karachi.

Azam looked in supreme touch and scored half century, helped his team set a big target for the opponents.
