The world’s most popular messaging mobile application WhatsApp is all set to introduce several new features in 2020. Here’s everything we know is coming down the pipeline.
The most-waited Dark Mode feature of WhatsApp is very near to roll out. In fact, as per some resources, some users have also tested it. According to the recent report by WABetal Info, a blog that is responsible for tracking WhatsApp developments, the social messaging app owned by Facebook is in progress for releasing the feature dark mode.
WABetaInfo – a popular Twitter account that deep-dives through the latest beta releases of the app to uncover clues about forthcoming features – discovered the first hints at the gloomier appearance in summer 2018.
In addition to this, the dark theme feature for iOS users is about to release. Even though as a Tweet which the blog shared, it was mentioned the gradual dark mode roll out for iOS users, which is underworking and not all stable yet.

Official sources said that about 100 billion massages were sent on this New Year.

On the other hand it is also shocking that about 100 billion WhatsApp messages sent globally on New Year’s Eve, including 12 billion picture messages – more than 900 million of the messages were sent in the UK, according to the company. WhatsApp says it’s the most ever sent in a single day on the service.

Earlier, WhatsApp has authenticated that it will start showing ads to its users which are 1.5billion in total – and customers are not happy with the news.
Advertisements will begin to pop up in “Status”, WhatsApp’s version of Instagram or Snapchat Stories, after this year.
The Facebook-possessed company has not revealed any precise launch date till now but vice president Chris Daniels has confirmed the strategy last year.
WhatsApp will start showing its users ads later this year.
