YouTube has rolled out updated icons for its Android app, part of a broader redesign aimed at streamlining navigation and enhancing user experience.
Changes to the Bottom Bar
While the layout of the bottom bar remains the same, four of its five icons now feature a refreshed look:- Home: Redesigned with a more prominent appearance.
- Shorts: Features thicker and bolder lines.
- Create (+): Now enclosed within a grey circle, ditching the previous outline.
- Subscriptions: Showcases a sleeker and more rounded design.
- Profile: No changes have been made to this icon.
Recent YouTube Updates
The refreshed bottom bar is part of a series of recent YouTube improvements, including:- Playback Speed Controls: Redesigned for both Android and iOS.
- Mini-Player and Settings Layout: Updated for a more intuitive user experience on Android.
- App Shortcuts: The "Explore" tab was removed, and outline-style icons were introduced across the app.
