Brandt, born on Oct. 26, 1999, grew up in Sumner, Iowa, and has a close-knit family. She played volleyball and track in high school, committing to Iowa State before graduating in 2018. Brandt majored in Kinesiology and continued her volleyball career with the Iowa State Cyclones.
