Brandon joined REEC in 2004, heading the acquisitions and finance department. Following his father’s passing, he led the company alongside Mark Seigel. Under their leadership, REEC acquired or developed over 20 million square feet of real estate across the United States, representing several billion dollars in capitalized value.
Their projects included commercial, condominium, multi-family, office, single-family, and asset management developments.
Before his tenure at REEC, Brandon worked at Dillon Read Capital Management, where he originated over $1 billion in commercial real estate loans. His expertise and leadership were instrumental in shaping REEC's impressive portfolio and reinforcing its reputation as a leader in the real estate industry.
Tragically, Brandon's life ended in July 2024, with reports indicating he died by suicide. His family has yet to release an official statement.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Candice Miller, and their two daughters. Candice, founder of Mama & Tata and co-founder of Black Iris, shared a deep bond with Brandon, having grown up as close friends in the Hamptons.
Their relationship blossomed in their mid-20s, leading to a heartfelt proposal on a Super Bowl Sunday. The couple's enduring friendship and love defined their life together.
Brandon's mother, Barbara Miller, who served as the executrix at REEC, passed away in October 2023.
