Emergency has been declared in seven districts of Baluchistan after a spell of heavy rain and snowfall across the province.

According to the details, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) declared emergency in Mastung, Qila Abdullah, Kech, Ziarat, Harnai, and Pishin districts.

Chief Minister Baluchistan Jam Kamal Khan visited the PDMA and was briefed on the current weather situation.

While talking to the media, Chief Minister Baluchistan said a high alert had been issued to the commissioners and deputy commissioners.

Earlier, at least six people including three women and three children were killed after roof of the houses collapsed due to heavy snowfall.

As per the details, at least six persons of a family including women and children killed after a roof collapsed due to heavy snow.

The incident occurred in Shahab Zai area of Balochistan province.

The locals and rescue team rushed to the spot and shifted the ill-fated family to a nearby hospital.

On the other hand, incessant rain in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa turned weather cold.

Heavy downpours lashed Bolan, Bhag Nari, Dhadhar, Bala Nari and suburban areas.
