The thick fog on Sunday has continued to blanket different areas of Punjab, reducing the visibility to zero on highways and motorways.

The thick fog has badly affected the transportation system in several cities of Punjab.

The Motorway police appealed the drivers to use GT Road for travelling.

They have also urged the drivers to drive slowly and switch on fog lights.

The people have been requested to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.

On the other hand, mainly cold and dry weather expected in most parts of the country.

While, weather to remain very cold in northern parts.

However, rain/snowfall expected in Kashmir and its adjoining hilly area.

Fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning/night hours.

Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country while very cold in northern parts.

Lowest Recorded Temperature (°C): Skardu -20°C, Astore, Kalam -15°C, Gupis -14°C, Kalat, Bagrote -12°C, Quetta -09°C, Parachinar -08°C, Gilgit, Dir -06°C, Malamjabba, Dalbandin, Chitral -05°C, Zhob and Drosh -04°C.

According to MeT office, Fog is likely to engulf Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujrat and Multan.

While Rain and light snowfall expected in Murree and its surrounding areas during the period.

Light fog is likely to prevail in Sukkur, Jaccobabad and Larkana in Sindh during morning and night hours.

In Karachi minimum temperature recorded at 9.5ºCelsius.

While, the maximum temperature expects to remain between 24-26 degree.

In a cold and dry weather humidity will remain between 30-40 percent in the morning and 10-20 percent in the evening today.

Mainly cold and dry weather expected in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while very cold in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Mansehra and Abbottabad.

While very cold in Quetta, Zhob, Mastung, Kalat, Ziarat, Qilla Saifullah and Chaman.

Skardu remained the coldest place of Pakistan on Sunday with minimum temperature dropped to minus 19.5 degree Celsius.
