The Meteorological Department of Pakistan has forecast that the Shaban moon is likely to be sighted tonight on 25th March 2020.
PMD had issued a letter on 10th March in which it mentioned about moon sighting.
The letter mentioned, “The new moon of Shaban, 1441 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 14-28 PST on 24-03-2020. Astronomical parameters of the new moon and average cloud amounts at Pilot Balloon Observatories of Pakistan Meteorological Department are attached herewith.”
“According to astronomical parameters, there is Good Chance of sighting the new moon of Shaban, 1441 AH on the evening of 25-03-2020 i.e. on 29th of Rajab, 1441 AH. According to climate record, the weather is expected fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the country.”

Weather will remain cloudy today in several parts of the country. On the contrary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan will probably receive rainfall with strong winds.
In the last 24 hours, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Kashmir received rainfall.
Rainfall recorded in several areas (in mm) were rawalkot (77), Kotli (30), Muzaffarabad (3-13), Peshawar (24-28), Saidu Shareef (28), Chirat (24), Chitral (21), Malam Jabba (17), Para Chinar, Kalam (14), Takht Bai (8), Bannu (7), Murree (33), Layyah (32), Islamabad (11-24), Johar Abad (15), Okara (13), Bhakkar (12), Kasoor (10), Jhang (8), Attock (7), Chakwal (6), Sialkot (3-8), Lahore (4), Khanewal (3), Bahawalnagar (2) Faisalabad (1), Khuzdar (18), and Jackobabad (2).
