RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has launched a citizenship program for foreign nationals, including Pakistanis, who are professionals in fields such as science, medicine, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship or possess exceptional talents and specialized expertise.

A royal decree has been issued to grant Saudi citizenship to experts and exceptional global talents with unique competencies in religious, medical, scientific, cultural, sports, and technological fields. This announcement aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goal of fostering an attractive environment to attract, invest in, and retain exceptional creative minds, thereby contributing to the development of various sectors across the Kingdom.

The Royal Decree extends Saudi Arabia's commitment to attracting distinguished talents with exceptional competencies and unique expertise that contribute significantly to the Kingdom's economic development, healthcare, culture, sports, and innovation sectors. This follows a previous royal decree in 2021 that granted Saudi citizenship to the initial group of selected distinguished talents in these fields.

Who is eligible for Saudi Arabian citizenship?

Citizenship of Saudi Arabia will be granted to expatriates from around the world, including Pakistan, who are scientists, medical doctors, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, or possess distinguished talents.
