Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has released new guidelines for pilgrims ahead of Hajj 2026 to ensure their safety, comfort, and smooth movement during the pilgrimage.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, these instructions are meant to make the journey easier and more organized so pilgrims can perform their religious duties peacefully and in line with official rules.

The ministry explained different routes and areas inside Masjid al-Haram, including specific entry points and pathways that help pilgrims easily perform Tawaf around the Holy Kaaba and Sa’i.

Special pathways have also been arranged for wheelchairs and electric mobility chairs, and these facilities are available for those who need them. Pilgrims are advised not to sit in the Sa’i area, as it is reserved only for those performing the ritual.

For health and safety, the ministry has recommended wearing face masks during peak crowd hours inside the mosque to reduce risks caused by overcrowding. It also stressed the importance of following all Hajj regulations, warning that entering Makkah or the holy sites without an official permit is against the law and may lead to strict penalties.
