Imran Khan chairs federal cabinet meeting

Prime Minister Imran Khan chairs federal cabinet meeting here on Tuesday.

Islamabad, federal cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of PM, in which Imran Khan was briefed upon the expenses of previous two governments of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim Nawaz (PML-N).

During the meeting PM was briefed that total expenses of foreign trips in previous PML-N government amount up to Rs1.42bn.

Meanwhile the expenses of the foreign trips in the government of PPP amount up to Rs183.5 million.

PM said that officials of previous governments went on luxurious foreign tours on the public money. What did the country and its people get from such foreign trips, he questioned?

PM also showed the commitment to make previous government officials accountable of their luxurious foreign tours.

According to reports, the meeting also discussed the restructuring of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Civil Services reforms report was also presented to PM.

The 12 points agenda of federal cabinet meeting included on-arrival visa facility to Qatari citizens was also discussed.

The cabinet was also briefed about the upcoming trip of Imran Khan to United States.
