Eight killed, Six injured after goods truck rams into wedding tent in India

At least eight people were killed and six others wounded on Thursday, 11 July, after a speeding truck lost control and rammed into a wedding pandal, in Bihar’s Lakhisarai,

The driver of the truck fled the spot after running over guests.

The victims had assembled to participate in the wedding ceremony.

The injured have been admitted to a government hospital and police have lodged a case against the driver and owner of the truck.

Deadly road accidents are common in India often caused due to overloading, bad condition of roads and reckless driving.
