Today, the toll tax rate for the M1 motorway between Islamabad and Peshawar has been increased by the National Highway and Motorways Authority.
The authority has raised the toll tax for cars to Rs350 from Rs240, an increase of Rs110. Similarly, the toll tax for wagons has been increased to Rs550 from Rs400.
The toll tax for the Coaster and Mazda has been raised to Rs 700 from Rs 550, marking an increase of Rs 150.
The toll tax for buses has been increased to Rs1,000 from Rs790, and the new rate for trucks is Rs1,300, up from Rs1,040.

Starting today, drivers of trailers will pay Rs 1,500 in toll tax, up from the previous rate of Rs 1,270.
