UAE-Pakistan flights to resume on August 10

UAE has allowed the resumption of flights from Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka from August 10, reported Khaleej Times citing Etihad Airways on Thursday.

The announcement comes two days after the UAE relaxed its entry rules for passengers from multiple countries.

The UAE publication reported that the passengers will be asked to complete a 10-day quarantine upon arrival in Abu Dhabi. It also said that the passengers will be required to wear a medically approved tracking wristband during the isolation period.

“This will be provided by the authorities at the Abu Dhabi airport after clearing immigration. All guests must also take a PCR test on days four and eight,” the airline said on its website.

The Khaleej Times reported that only fully vaccinated UAE resident holders; health practitioners, education sector workers or students will be allowed to enter the UAE. It added that entry will also be granted to passengers travelling for humanitarian purposes, medical tourists and federal government agency workers.

UAE lifts ban on transit flights

The wire service, quoting UAE’s National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA), said that the passengers transiting from the UAE will be required to present a negative PCR coronavirus test 72 hours before their flight.
