PSL 8: In the current eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, Islamabad United won the toss and elected to field first against Peshawar Zalmi.
Following the departure of captain Babar Azam due to illness, the Zalmi have named English cricketer Tom Kohler-Cadmore as the team’s skipper for today’s match.
The Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, United, and Zalmi have already qualified for the playoffs, but the knockout round matchups won’t be finalised until after today’s match between the two teams in Pindi.
Today at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Karachi Kings and Qalandars will square off in the second PSL game of the day.
