Unknown armed men on Monday attacked a police checkpost in the Kot Azam area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district.
In firing by the police, the armed men managed to escape the scene.
However, the police recovered a dead body of an unknown person during a search operation at the attack site.
The body has been moved to the District Head Quarter Hospital (DHQ) Tank, where the identification process has started.
The police recovered a rifle, walkie-talkie set, and other weapons from an unknown armed person during the search operation.
