An armed robbery attempt at a petrol station business was recently prevented thanks to a quick response by a US Marine Corps veteran.

The incident, which was captured by the store’s CCTV camera, is now going viral, with the veteran receiving praise online.

The client, who had previously served in the elite armed forces, was in the early hours of the morning at the business in Yuma, Arizona, when two masked guys stormed in, one of them was wielding a revolver.

When the armed suspect approached a store customer and pointed his gun at the cashier, the customer promptly disarmed him.

The two other suspects, one of whom was spotted outside the store’s entrance, fled the scene after the veteran disarmed him, according to footage provided by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO).
