One of the best-preserved mummies in the world is a 2000-year-old Chinese mummy who still has blood in her veins. Her body was discovered wrapped in twenty layers of silk cloth in 21 liters of a mildly acidic liquid with traces of magnesium.

Her blood type was discovered to be A. A Chinese named Xin Zhui died in 163 BC.

According to the reports, her hair was still intact, her skin was smooth to the touch, and her veins still held type-A blood when they discovered her in 1971.

Xin Zhui was the wife of Han official Li Cang, a powerful figure in the Han regime (the Marquis of Dai).
