Dottie Schneider, 95, was recently at Orange Beach, Alabama, but found it difficult to walk along the beach. As a result, lifeguards carried her back and forth for a week to ensure she could enjoy her beach vacation.
When it comes to enjoying time at the beach, there are no age restrictions. Walking on the sand, on the other hand, might be difficult for the elderly.
As a result, lifeguards on a US coast dragged a woman in her 90s to the beaches to enjoy the scenery. This touching act received a lot of positive feedback on social media.
Dottie Schneider, 95, was recently in Orange Beach, Alabama, and wanted to spend some time resting on the beach.
Her requests, however, were first denied as she fought to maintain her footing on the sandy walk.
Schneider had a fantastic day at the sunny beaches thanks to the Orange Beach Surf Rescue crew, who made sure this wasn’t a problem for her.
Lifeguards walked down the beach to the beach chair, carrying her in their arms, according to photos released by the agency.
What makes it even better is that it wasn’t done once.
The lifeguards carried her “every day for a week” and “at day’s end escort her back to the condo,” according to their post.
Schneider’s family was moved by the lifeguards’ kindness and thanked them at the end of their visit.
As per the post, “The family thanked us in return with a fridge full of food at the end of the week.”
Many people complimented them for their compassion as photographs of their wonderful act circulated, while others recounted their own experiences with the agency.
Their message also urged others to take their families to the shore, despite the fact that many of them were hesitant to take their elderly relatives.
