Indian comedian and TV actor Sunil Grover, who gained popularity through his role as ‘Gutthi’ in Kapil Sharma show, recently shared his opinion about nepotism.
Sunil Grover said in an interview that he had no support system when he entered Mumbai. He was fortunate enough that he did not become a victim of nepotism in the entertainment industry. However, he feels sad for others who have faced it.
“When I came to Mumbai, I had no support system in this city. I was lucky that I did not face any nepotism, but I do feel sad for those who have faced it. I also believe that talent finds a way sooner or later. Television has given me a lot of respect, fame, and love. In fact, I feel that the TV industry in India has given chances to lakhs and lakhs of people and it is the best medium for newcomers to showcase their talent.”
In addition to this, Gabbar is back actor Sunil talked about his role as ‘Guthi’ in Kapil Sharma show.
“I am not reprising Gutthi. If Kapil and I are destined to work with each other again, we will. But, as of now, there are no such plans. Also, it is common for people to ask me something about Kapil, whenever I am doing a new show. We do occasionally talk to each other. A lot of time has passed since I exited his show, and time changes many things. ”
On the other hand, the comedian also said that the actors should pay cuts due to the current pandemic situation.
“I feel that in the current scenario, we need to accept a pay cut; what matters is going out and working. We should let others also earn their daily bread. I may sound preachy, but the current situation is compelling all of us to contribute to society in our own way. I also plan to donate my earnings from the show.”
