Kangana Ranaut once again fell into a controversy as she claimed that an elderly farmer lady was seen protesting against the CAA in Shaheen Bagh.

Shiromani Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said on Friday that the party has issued a legal notice at actress Kangana Ranaut a day after she passed controversial remarks at an old farmer lady who marched with other protesters from Punjab to Dehli.

“We have sent a legal notice to Kangana Ranaut for her derogatory tweet calling the aged mother of a farmer as ‘woman available for Rs 100’. Her tweets portray farmers’ protests as anti-national.

We demand an unconditional apology from her for the insensitive remarks,” Sirsa, also the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president, said.

Ranaut had said that the elderly woman was also seen protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi in December-March. Though she immediately deleted her tweet, social media users criticized her.

She received severe criticism from farmers and various prominent personalities. Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanj slammed her for defaming the elderly woman. However, the ‘Queen’ actress responded to it.
